Larry Latourette

Larry grew up in Iowa City, Iowa, graduated from Stanford University in 1978 and then completed the joint JD/MPP program at Harvard Law School and the Kennedy School of Government in 1982.  After graduation, he spent almost two decades practicing law at national firms, first as an associate at White & Case and Skadden Arps, then as a partner and Managing Partner of the DC Office of Preston Gates. During his legal career he has served as outside General Counsel for a publicly traded company, participated in international trade cases, argued before the 8th and 11th U.S. Circuit Courts and lobbied Congress. He is a member of the DC Bar and the ABA.

After founding Veritas Lex in 2001, he and his colleagues have successfully matched the needs of dozens of lawyers and lobbyists with those of law firms (e.g., Sidley, Kirkland, Latham, Sonnenschein, Howrey, Mayer Brown, Patton Boggs, KL Gates, Crowell & Moring, Greenberg Traurig, Lovells, Dickinson Wright) and public policy shops (e.g., Williams Mullen Strategies).

Ron Peterson

A Washington native for more than thirty years, Ron headed the investment-banking and business brokerage firm of Three Arrows before joining Veritas Lex as a legal and lobbying recruiter. Prior to Three Arrows, Ron served as a vice-president with Paine Webber and Prudential Securities, directed an institutional financial futures unit for Merrill Lynch, and held NASD security licenses 3, 7, 24 and 63. He also co-chaired the Editorial Committee for the Bio Advisory Council of Maryland TEDCO, currently sits on a graduate education advisory committee for the University of Maryland, heads the advisory group for an early-stage life-sciences venture capital group (Hopkins Capital), holds memberships in the NIH Bio Computing Group and the NIH Business Development Group, been granted one patent in electronics and hosted an investment radio show for five years. He has also sold, managed the acquisition or prepared public offerings with the SEC for retail, software, IT, telecommunications, life sciences, oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, energy, printing, entertainment, food, transportation, spas, franchises and many other types of companies. He is the author of a book on raising capital, When Venture Capitalists Say "No"--Creative Financing Strategies & Resources, the author of an extended white paper, Technology Transfer in the Life-Sciences, and a professional stock market book, Solomon's Riches. He has lectured on business topics at the University of Maryland, Georgetown University, George Mason University and Johns Hopkins University as well as before the World Bank, national banks and corporations, the NIH, etc., and won two derivative trading contests. He holds a BS in Economics from the University of Minnesota, both an MS in Biotechnology Studies and an MS in Management from the University of Maryland, MBA studies at George Washington University, and earned graduate certificates in: defense economics from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces; clinical pharmacology from NIH; and both public relations and energy graduate certificates from the University of Maryland along with current enrollment in international trade.

Jane Raitt

Jane grew up in New Jersey and earned a BA in English and Education from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  After receiving her Masters Degree in the Behavioral Sciences at Wayne State University, Jane became the Management Training and Development Administrator for Chrysler Corporation, creating such programs as Chrysler Quality Circles, Effective Interviewing Skills, Team Effectiveness Training, Time Management Skills, and most successfully, the Chrysler Outplacement Program that taught laid-off employees the tools they needed to become more competitive in the job market, including researching, resume writing, networking and interviewing skills.  Her article for Human Resources professionals, Train to Retain, appeared in the Training and Development Journal and received national acclaim while her series of eight articles on building a successful job campaign, A Systems Approach to Career Change, was published three times by the Wall Street Business and Employment Weekly.  As a result, Jane earned the reputation as one of the foremost Career and Executive Coaches in the field of human resources and career transition and development.  Jane has also been an Account Executive for Compuware Corporation as well as at  Adobe Systems and Beacon Productivity Group, Inc.
